“Wisdom and instruction shall be ornaments of grace about your head.” Proverbs 1:9
‘He Loves Me, He Love Me Not’ is a memorable childhood game for many. Often, we play this game with God, wondering if He cares, if He is listening, or if He even loves us at all. His love for us is not based on our behavior, our looks, our wealth, etc. but based on who He is and His character.
Titus 3:4-5 But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to His own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, Romans 5:8 God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 1 John 4:8 God is love. 1 John 4:9-10 The love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent His only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Jeremiah 31:3 I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you. 1 John 3:16 By this we know love, that He laid down his life for us, John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that He gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him. 1 John 3:1 See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; Matthew 10:31 you are of more value than many sparrows. Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Deuteronomy 28:1-13 The Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, … Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. … Psalm 23:1-6 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. … Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Isaiah 43:1-4 But now thus says the Lord, He who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. … Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you, … Psalm 121:2-8 My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand. … Psalm 91:1-16 For He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his pinions, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, … John 10:10-15 I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. … I lay down my life for the sheep. Psalm 34:4-10 I sought the Lord, and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to Him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed. … John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you.
Every spring, creation whispers a promise: death has been defeated, and new life is coming.
