Spiritual Bucket List

Debbie Encouragement, Faith

Several times in the Bible, God’s people were instructed to write down their goals and visions:  Habakkuk 2:2Romans 15:4Revelation 1:19Deuteronomy 27:8Isaiah 8:1Jeremiah 30:2Jeremiah 36:2, …

There is something significant about writing down our goals.  It becomes a permanent record; a reminder of the promises and dreams God has placed within us.  It encourages us to press towards the destiny He has for us and our family.   When these goals/visions come to pass, no one will be able to deny the awesome power of God’s goodness and grace.

Taking this a step forward,  Psalm 37:4 says, Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.”  When we “delight ourselves IN THE LORD“,  His desires become our desires.   God delights in giving us the desires of our heart, no matter how big or small; and, He doesn’t get hung up on material things unless they interfere in our relationship with Him.

On my  ‘Bucket List’, I have written down some things that are ongoing from previous years, some things have been accomplished, some not, some things are “Spiritual”, some are not so Spiritual, some are achievable, and some are only achievable by God’s grace.  Here is an example of just a few: go on a cruise, get a Canon ESO 6D camera Check mark symbol, opportunities to share Jesus with others Check mark symbol, see my community revitalized, visit all 50 states (15 down, 35 more to go), go on a mission trip to Romania to minister to the street children, attend the Rose Bowl parade, …

Don’t be afraid to Dream Big!
